They were determined to optimize their data operations to improve auditing effectiveness and sought a partner to help operationalize this vision. Responding to this need, ISG embarked on a comprehensive Maturity Assessment. This deep dive included engaging with stakeholders to understand the nuances of their current data processes and to identify where their analytics function was falling short.

The reimagination of the client's IT and data analytics infrastructure was grounded in a strategic redesign of the operating model, particularly focusing on Data Engineering (DE). In the newly envisioned layout, we carved out Data Engineering as a dedicated function—a core strategic element rather than a subsidiary support role. This fundamental change was inspired by the insight that a robust DE function could act as the critical translator and facilitator between IT and Data Analytics, smoothing out the flow of data and providing the necessary infrastructure to support advanced analytics.

By doing so, the new operating model was designed to be more responsive to the rapid pace of data-driven demands, ensuring a seamless integration of technological advancements and the evolving needs of the organization's auditing operations.
