Opportunity
A multi-national French bank requested a global datacenter infrastructure benchmark on their 19 hubs in France, New York, London and Hong Kong from ISG.
The company wanted to know whether the costs that it had been working with made sense and matched market and competitive values.
Imagining IT Differently
ISG provided a scoping framework to systematically capture all the components of the datacenters, including costs, volumes and electricity consumption.
With that data, ISG designed a maturing assessment framework for the company to benchmark each of the 19 datacenters against one another, leveraging our ISG Inform™ platform.
From this benchmark, ISG designed and delivered to the company an in-depth and detailed “identity card” for each of the datacenters that were analyzed, enabling the company to do a like-for-like comparison.
Future Made Possible
- ISG provided the entire benchmark on the 19 datacenters, including comparisons between each respective datacenter and the competitive local market prices in each region (FR, USA, UK and HK), allowing the company to make the optimal decision.
- A set of future recommendations were provided to the company alongside a market analysis of best practice datacenter management within the banking sector.
